Dr. Deepak Patil Ayurvedic Medical College And Research Center , was established in the year 2016. The college earned a good reputation within a very short period of time . The Dr. Deepak Patil Ayurvedic Medical College And Research center is well known institute situated near Borpadale phata,on Kolhapur-Ratnagiri Road in Panhala Dist: Kolhapur.


Our History


Sanjeevani Multipurpose Foundation's Dr. Deepak Patil Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Centre, Borpadale- established in 2016 in a rural, hilly region of Panhala, Kolhapur, the Ayurvedic Medical College embarked on a journey to promote traditional healing methodologies. Over the last 07 years, it has strived to blend ancient wisdom with modern medical practices, offering comprehensive education in Ayurveda. Through dedicated faculty and a commitment to excellence, the college has steadily grown, attracting students passionate about holistic health. 1. Introduction and Institutional Overview
Dr. Deepak Patil Ayurvedic Medical College & Research Center is a rapidly progressing Ayurvedic teaching and research institution committed to excellence in education, ethical clinical practice, research orientation, and social responsibility. Since its establishment in 2019, the college has steadily developed robust academic systems, competent clinical exposure, and a student-centric learning environment rooted in classical Ayurvedic principles and contemporary healthcare needs.

The year 2025 proved to be a landmark and defining year for the institution, during which the college achieved national-level recognition, demonstrated outstanding academic outcomes, strengthened its research culture, and showcased exemplary faculty and student achievements, thereby establishing itself as an institution of growing national relevance.

2. National Flagship Achievement: “Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan” – National Rank 1
The most distinguished and prestigious achievement of the institution during 2025 was its exceptional performance in the “Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan”, a nationwide public health initiative conducted under the aegis of the Ministry of AYUSH.

National Rank 1 with Highest Strike Rate
The college secured FIRST RANK AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL ACROSS INDIA.

The ranking was achieved based on strike-rate-wise performance, reflecting:
- Maximum valid Prakriti assessments
- Accuracy and protocol compliance
- Effective public participation and outreach
- Systematic data collection and submission

Among thousands of participating institutions nationwide, the college emerged as the top-performing institution in India, attaining the highest strike rate and operational efficiency.

This achievement is of extraordinary national significance, as it demonstrates:

- Practical application of Ayurvedic fundamentals (Prakriti, Dosha theory) at population level

3.1 100% Result of First Two Batches of the Institute
The first two graduating batches of BAMS students achieved a 100% final year pass result.

This outcome reflects:

3.2 Convocation Ceremony
The first Convocation Ceremony of the college was conducted in an enthusiastic, dignified, and celebratory academic atmosphere.

4. Faculty Research Publications and Scholarly Output
During the year 2025, ten faculty members actively contributed to scholarly publications in indexed national and international journals recognized by UGC CARE.

The contributing faculty members were Dr. Swati Patil, and Dr. Smita Patil, Dr. Sandeep Patil, Dr. Namrata Mane, Dr. Vitthal Patil, Dr. Sevagra Sharma, Dr. Amar Abhrange, Dr. Archana Abhrange, Dr. Irtiza Desai, Dr. Parag Kulkarni.

Collectively, the faculty published a total of 21 research papers, comprising 3 national publications and 18 international publications. This reflects a steadily strengthening research ecosystem, faculty motivation for evidence-based Ayurveda, and institutional encouragement for academic writing and dissemination at global platforms.

5. Faculty Awards, Leadership and National Recognition
Faculty excellence during 2025 was further reinforced through national-level awards and honors.

1) Dr. Amar Baliram Abhrange
Associate Professor, Department of Kriya Sharir

During the academic year 2025, Dr. Amar Baliram Abhrange, Associate Professor in the Department of Kriya Sharir, received significant national-level recognition for his academic excellence, research contribution, and inspirational role in medical education.

He was conferred the prestigious “Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Award – 2025” in the category of Academic and Research Excellence by the Research Council of India (RCI). This national award, presented on the occasion commemorating the Spirit of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, recognizes outstanding contributions to research, innovation, and academic advancement in higher education. The conferment of this award highlights Dr. Abhrange’s commitment to scientific inquiry, scholarly rigor, and integration of research-oriented teaching in Ayurvedic physiology (Kriya Sharir).

In the same year, Dr. Abhrange was also honored with the “Best Inspirational Teacher Award – 2025” by A.C.T. Academy in association with Bharatha Varsham Trust, Tamil Nadu, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day 2025. This national-level recognition acknowledges his role as a mentor, motivator, and educator who consistently inspires students through learner-centric teaching methods, ethical academic conduct, and dedication to holistic student development.

2) Dr. Parag Vishwas Kulkarni
Associate Professor and Head, Department of Rognidan Evam Vikriti Vigyan.

He received five prestigious national awards during the year, recognizing leadership, innovation, service, and academic authorship. These included awards for Excellent Leadership & Management, Innovative Teaching, Dedicated Service (Nirvikar Sevaratna), Outstanding Contribution to Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), and Best Innovative Author.

These awards were conferred by reputed national organizations such as Bharatha Varsham Trust, Flyers Charitable Trust, A.C.T. Academy / ACTA Classic Publisher, and Nirvikar Ayurved Hospital, Pune, on nationally significant occasions including Teachers’ Day, Global Literacy Day, Bharatiya Bhasha Diwas, and national academic summits.

Such recognitions highlight the institution’s strong academic leadership, innovation-driven teaching culture, and national-level intellectual engagement.

6. Workshops, FDPs and Academic Enrichment
The institution organized need-based academic and clinical enrichment programs during 2025, including:
- A Kayachikitsa Workshop on ECG and Basic Life Support (BLS) to enhance emergency clinical skills.
- A Faculty Development Programme on Pharmacovigilance, delivered by Dr. Dinesh Kelgaonkar, focusing on drug safety, ADR monitoring, and regulatory awareness.

These programs strengthened faculty competence and clinical preparedness.

7. Student Achievements – Cultural, Literary and Sports Excellence
7.1 Cultural Achievements
Students actively participated in SPANDAN 2025, the MUHS inter-collegiate cultural festival, and achieved notable success in Group Folk Dance, Folk Dance (Loknrutya), Mime (Mooknatya), and Natyasangeet events. The institution secured multiple prizes, including First, Second, and Third positions at university level, reflecting creativity, teamwork, confidence, and cultural competence.

7.2 Sports Achievements
Miss Vaishnavi Maruti Ghodke (Second BAMS) represented the college at Zonal, Inter-Zonal, and Inter-University levels, securing Second Rank at Pune Zone and achieving 4th place among 21 universities at inter-university competition. This demonstrates sustained institutional encouragement for sports and holistic student development.

7.3 Individual Student Distinction
Miss Rutuja Shivdas Munde (Third BAMS) achieved multiple state-level awards in elocution and cultural competitions, including first, second, and third prizes, and qualified up to the semi-final round of a competitive cultural platform, reflecting excellence in communication, leadership, and personality development.

8. Student Awareness and Sensitization Programmes
The institution regularly organizes a wide range of student-oriented awareness and sensitization programmes aimed at holistic development, social responsibility, ethical conduct, and public health preparedness. These programmes are systematically planned and implemented throughout the academic year to enhance students’ knowledge beyond the formal curriculum.

8.1 Legal, Ethical, and Civic Awareness Programmes
- Traffic Awareness Workshop, focusing on road safety, traffic rules, and responsible citizenship.
- Medico-Legal Awareness Programme, sensitizing students to legal responsibilities, documentation, and ethical issues in medical practice.
- Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme, emphasizing zero tolerance towards ragging, legal consequences, student safety, and the creation of a respectful campus environment.

8.2 Public Health and Preventive Medicine Awareness Programmes
- Organ Donation Awareness Programme, promoting ethical understanding, social responsibility, and the importance of organ donation in saving lives.
- AIDS Awareness Programme, focusing on prevention, transmission, stigma reduction, and public health responsibility.
- Infectious Diseases Awareness and Control Programme, addressing modes of transmission, preventive strategies, hygiene practices, and outbreak control measures.

8.3 Mental and Psychosocial Health Awareness
- Mental Health Awareness Programme, aimed at sensitizing students to stress management, emotional well-being, early identification of mental health issues, and the importance of seeking professional support.

9. Academic Tours and Educational Visits
The institution places strong emphasis on experiential and field-based learning as an integral component of the teaching–learning process. In alignment with NCISM curriculum guidelines, syllabus requirements, and topic-wise distribution, academic tours and educational visits are conducted regularly to provide students with practical exposure and real-world learning experiences.

9.1 Department-wise Curriculum-Based Educational Visits
As a part of routine academic planning, regular departmental educational visits are organized throughout the academic year. These visits are carefully aligned with prescribed syllabus objectives and learning outcomes and are conducted by the following departments:
- Swasthavritta Evam Yoga
- Rog Nidan Evam Vikriti Vigyan
- Dravyaguna Vigyan
- Agadatantra Evam Vidhi Vaidyaka
- Rasashastra Evam Bhaishajya Kalpana

Such curriculum-based visits enable students to correlate theoretical knowledge with practical applications, enhance observational skills, and gain exposure to clinical, pharmaceutical, medicinal plant, forensic, preventive, and public health practices as mandated by NCISM norms.

9.2 Long Study Tour – Second BAMS
In addition to short academic visits, a long study tour for Second BAMS students was successfully organized during the academic year. The tour covered North Indian states including Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, offering students comprehensive exposure to:
- Diverse climatic and geographical influences on health and lifestyle
- Medicinal plant diversity and traditional healthcare practices
- Cultural, historical, and heritage-based learning
- Institutional visits and experiential learning activities

This long study tour significantly contributed to the academic enrichment, co-curricular development, cultural awareness, teamwork, leadership, and overall personality development of students.

10. Institutional Best Practices and Distinctiveness
During 2025, the institution implemented several distinctive practices:
- Sanjeevani Health Card initiative
- Charitable Dispensary for underprivileged patients
- Medicinal plant distribution and conservation activities
- In-house preparation of Ayurvedic formulations such as Abhyanga Oil, Ubtan, and Chyawanprash
- Installation of a Solar Energy Plant, promoting a green and sustainable campus

12. Institutional Objectives and Future Direction
The institution has defined clear future objectives:
- To undergo QCI–NABET Rating and achieve ‘A’ Grade
- To enhance BAMS intake capacity up to 100 students, subject to approval
- To initiate postgraduate programs in Kayachikitsa, Shalyatantra, and Striroga

13. Conclusion
The year 2025 stands as a milestone year in the growth trajectory of Dr. Deepak Patil Ayurvedic Medical College & Research Center. Hello Everyone,
My dear students and their parents,
It gives me great pleasure to interact with you as the Founder-President of Sanjeevani Multipurpose Foundation, Borpadale.
Just a few years ago, the dream of setting up a Nursing and Medical education institute in a rural, hilly area like Borpadale is a dream come true today. A pleasant feeling is being created in the mind today. Sanjeevani Ayurvedic Hospital was established with the objective of opening the doors of medical education to the talented students of the rural areas and to provide poor people with the best quality medical services at very low cost. In a short period of time, Sanjeevani Hospital has created a place of affection in the public mind due to its quality medical services.
As the next phase of this, Dr. Deepak Patil Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Center was established in the year 2019.
The medical journey of the first batch began with full admissions in the first year itself. In the year 2021, college shifted in the new, spacious and well-equipped Premises. The college is characterized by highly experienced, intelligent, expert faculty, non-teaching staff and visionary administrative leadership. Well-equipped classrooms, departments, all necessary instruments and equipments, modern equipment are providing students with high-quality education and satisfaction . Students are getting in-depth knowledge of all subjects due to well scheduled theory, practicals, clinics and well-established hospital. In this beautiful educational environment, our first batch is in final year and just about to become Doctors. We feel so proud seeing this precious, joyful moment along with the parents of the students. I heartily congratulate all our admitted students and their proud parents, wish them all the best. Hon. Chairman Dr. Deepak Patil & Hon. Secretary Dr. Swati Patil played pivotal Role in the establishment of our College with an aim of providing medical facilities to rural area and medical education to lower class students. Since incorporation of College along with attached Sanjivani hospital, we are serving rural people with advanced medical facilities by keeping moral values at no cost basis. Now our College has steadily progressing towards creating an outstanding position for itself to meet the global standards. We strive to impart knowledge of Ayurveda to our students with scientific approach. We arrange various FDPs, guest lectures, seminars, workshops,etc. like programms to upgrade the knowledge of teachers & students as regular communication with experts & scholars is the very foundation of a sound academic set-up. Curricular & co-curricular activities are meticulously included in the academic calendar to achieve personality development of students to accept any challenge in future life We have highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic staff which is the backbone of our medical excellence & academic activities. We have formed various academic & administrative committees for smooth conduction of academic, research & extracurricular activities. We are conducting various research projects in our college and our teaching staff have published many research articles In different Ayurvedic fields. All this task become possible only due to unconditional support of our Management & its enormous inspiration to us. In next academic year, we are advancing to increase intake capacity from 60 to 100 seats for BAMS course and to initiate M.D./M.S courses in different specialities. I am sure that, our college will carve a niche in the Ayurvedic field for itself at the national and international levels.
